ghost bike

I'd never heard of ghost bikes until this past summer when one was erected just outside Saline, in Ann Arbor.

Ghost bike in Ann Arbor

A ghost bike is a memorial to someone who died while riding their bike.

This ghost bike memorializes Tim Pincikowski who was struck by a minivan while riding down Maple Road.

I think it's a haunting and fitting tribute.

vixen valet service

I was enjoying one of my very few vices - visiting a certain snarky and inappropriate gossip website - the other day and read about a company called "Vixen Valet Service."

They describe themselves as an "upscale parking service."

So why do the employees dress like they're on their way to a Halloween party? According to emailbrain.com {don't ask me I just Googled it} they are "elegant" and "professional."

Confused and disillusioned, I spent a whole TEN MINUTES of intense and laborious research on the meaning of elegant professionalism. I happened upon a photo of another woman dressed almost exactly like the experts at Vixen Valet Service:

This photo is from SpiritHalloween.com.

A website that sells Halloween costumes.

I'm just saying that there might be some similarities between the two and that it might behoove the company to rethink their employee's uniformwear.

For the sake of elegance and professionalism, I hope they will.
